The vacation home of the Böhm family (designed by Schober) was built in timber frame construction. The roof structure of visible cross laminated timber panels is completely self-supporting. The horizontal loads at the support of the CLT-panels are transferred via the timber frame walls into the floor slab made of CLT. Due to the large wall openings on the first floor, steel supports were necessary in some cases to transfer the high roof loads resulting from the high snow load owing to regional conditions.
